The Peach is the Queen of June, long live Peach!

How many times have you bought these beauties?

Time to cultivate them on our own! You could use them in some recipe later...

Step 1 - Germination: The first option you can choose is to plant your peach pit straight in the soil during the fall, then just wait until spring-summer. This option is risky because it requires protecting your plant unless you have some nice greenhouse place and live in a warm area I don't advice this way. A better option is to soak the pit in water for about 1-2 hours, then place it in a plastic bag with moist soil. This will be the "artificial" but safer bet for you. Be sure to keep the bag in the refrigerator away from fruit at 30-40°F(-5°C).

Step 2 - Planting: The Germination can take up to 2 months, so if you do it in late winter it could be ready in spring, just keep a look at it. When your beauty is ready it's time to plant it. Plant it about 3-5 inches deep and cover it with about 1-2 inch soil.

Enjoy nature flourishing!
