Did the ancient romans eat Carbonara?

I like thinking that Nero, the last Roman Emperor, would sit on his throne and eat Spaghetti Carbonara with fork and spoon...

We are not Nero but this recipe will make you an Emperor/Empress.

As usual, this preparation is for 4 people.

Step 1: Start with boiling the water. While you wait to get rid of the fat from your Pig Cheek/Bacon, then cut what remains into small strips(around 1 inch long). You can now dump it into your no sticky pan and heat for 15 minutes(be careful, the meat should not be burnt/dark). During such time you can put your spaghetti into the boiling water.

Step 2: Pour the 6 Yolks into a bowl and add most of the Pecorino Cheese to it. Add Black Pepper and a spoon of water, then whip and mix them up.

Step 3: When the Spaghetti and Meat are both ready put them together, then add the bowl content to them. The secret at this point is to add a little bit of boiled water to make melt the eggs and cheese together.

Step 4: Add the remaining Pecorino and serve the Carbonara! You are officially a powerful Roman!
