Eden is in Sicily

It was a long time ago, on my family trip to Sicily that I was enlighted.

I had an epiphany: Eden is in Sicily, and its name is Gole dell'Alcantara.

This time is not some artificial building or human creation, we should just thank Mother Nature.

I'm talking of gorges high up to 25 meters and from 2 to 5 meters wide. It's a natural canyon with The Alcantara river flowing between the two lands. Lava stones form natural riverbed, those are the two lands, like two lovers so close that one can almost whisper in each other ear, they crave each other...



The water evaporates and on both side of rocks, along the walls, you get this wet paradise where the traveler can find relieved and refresh.

The bravest walk against the flow, following the river to the falls. Fighting against the flow and the extremely cool water. Fall after fall, a repetition of pleasure.

It's a challenge worth it, you can try it(of course in Summertime, o you would be dead...).

But don't worry, you can easily borrow a pair of boots and choose a more relaxing path.

Where can we find this beauty? Very simple, from Messina you have to divert to a place called Giardini Naxos("Naxos Garden").
