Columbus is officially "The Devil".
American overnight was enlighted on the legacy of slavery, brutality, racism and oppression that he lived behind.
As result, his statue was beheaded and more to come.
He was an Italian-American, the Italian-American community soon supported the need for change. What will be next? What will replace the statue?
While the debates keep going and a petition started, the point is should we still honor the Italia-American Community with a more honorable symbol?
The Italian-Americans were one of the first immigrants to go to the States, and we all know how much they have contributed to building the country. Their hard work and legends are still in history books. Even in the last century and recent times have always done the country proud, not to mention one of the heroes, Anthony Fauci, in the Coronavirus fight.
So many names to replace the Columbus statue, so many candidates to show to the World that "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch".
An old good proverb that should become more popular in these times of craziness...
