The Two Villas, The Double Pleasure

Probably you have heard by now of Lake Como, after all so many celebrities from Clooney to Madonna bought Villas over there. Well, today it's time to visit Two of the most iconic Villas you can visit right now!

I'm talking of Villa Balbaniello and Villa Carlotta.

The first was built at the end of 18th century by the Bishop Angelo Maria Durini, who literally included a Franciscan Monastery in the project. What makes so special this Villa is not only the architecture, with the small harbor space between rocks, but also the secondary path to get to the Villa, running along the forest with its amazing colorful nature(you would feel like you are living in a Postcard!).



The second Villa is perfect for all the romantics. Starting with the name "Carlotta", behind it there was once upon a time, in the 17th century, Princess Carlotta. She was so romantic and loved so much music that she got the perfect gift on her wedding day: her mother gifted her a whole Villa... Carlotta married Duke George II for love. Yeah "for love" was a big deal at the time, when so many marriages where of convenience(especially the one running in the nobility).

Italy officially reopened on June 3, so are those two beauties!
